Someone’s season will go from bad to worse Saturday and Texas A&M football fans are hoping it’s not the Aggies.
A&M, ranked as high as No. 9 this season, is coming off an ugly home loss to unranked Kentucky then suffered a beatdown on the road at top-10 LSU. Arkansas has lost 10 straight conference games and hasn’t been competitive in matchups against Georgia and Utah.

Quarterback Marcel Reed (completing 55.4% of his 130 pass attempts for 738 passing yards, seven total touchdowns and four interceptions) is hoping to right the ship against a Razorbacks defense that’s 15th among 16 SEC teams in points allowed and 10th in yards allowed per game. On offense, Arkansas is led by wide receiver Chris Marshall who has 136 yards and 195 yards receiving in his previous two games.

Since they first competed in 1903, Arkansas leads the all-time series 42-37-3. But the Aggies have made tremendous strides in evening the record, taking 13 of the last 14. Those meetings have often been close those with eight games since 2014 being decided by one possession. Last year was no different with A&M earning a 45-42 win.
The Aggies are in their third season under Mike Elko who is lookign for a second straight College Football Playoff appearance. It looks like A&M will have to run the table to make that happen. Arkansas is playing its first year under head coach Ryan Silverfield after parting ways with Sam Pittman, who mustered a 34-32 record over six seasons.
