Renowned producer Chadalavada Srinivasa Rao has announced a ₹30-crore initiative to produce 10 films under the banner of the Telugu Film Directors Association (TFDA), a move aimed at generating employment and opportunities for directors and aspiring talent. The announcement was made at a media conference attended by TFDA president V.N. Aditya, treasurer Sai Rajesh, and several prominent directors. A dedicated committee, including senior filmmakers, will oversee script selection and production to ensure quality output.
TFDA leaders described the initiative as a major boost for the industry, noting that it could benefit not just 10 directors but also over a hundred assistant directors and technicians. They emphasized that the project aligns with the association’s focus on education, healthcare, and employment, while also promising to introduce fresh talent and maintain disciplined, cost-effective filmmaking practices.
Chadalavada Srinivasa Rao said his goal is to support directors and encourage meaningful cinema with strong storytelling and values. Highlighting the challenges faced by filmmakers today, he stressed the need for discipline and quality in production. He also assured that any profits generated from the films would be contributed back to the association, a gesture widely hailed by industry members as a significant and rare initiative.
