TGSRTC Strike: Narsampet RTC Bus Conductor Succumbs

Hyderabad: Narsampet RTC depot bus conductor K Shankar Goud, who attempted suicide on Thursday at Narsampet bus station in Warangal, succumbed to burns while undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Kanchanbagh early Friday, according to police.

The police confirmed that Goud (30) died at 2.30 am and added that the body was handed over to the family after conducting an autopsy under the supervision of forensic doctors from Osmania General Hospital. After the autopsy, the body was shifted to Goud’s native at Muthojipeta village in Nasampet mandal.

On Thursday afternoon, after an argument with depot officials in Warangal regarding the deployment of private drivers, Shankar Goud walked out of the office and attempted suicide. Fellow workers rushed to his aid and rushed him to the Narsampet hospital, from where he was shifted to the MGM Hospital in Warangal.

As Goud’s condition became critical, the family members rushed him to the corporate hospital in Kanchanbagh here.
