EXCLUSIVE: Lorraine Kelly and Stacey Soloman have come under attack from odd claims in an underpass in West Denton, with Annie Lennox accused of picking ‘boiled eggs in her meal deal’

Residents of a small town near Newcastle are appealing for answers after bonkers graffiti aiming weird slurs at random celebrities continues to appear.

The bizarre ramblings are popping up daily in West Denton, leaving locals and people on social media speculating about who could be behind the odd ‘artwork’. It’s appearance could also have stars wondering if they could be next after the messages started to be noticed last week in the usually-quiet suburb.

Amongst the claims spray-painted on the walls are: ‘Lorraine Kelly is barred from Wetherspoons for stealing cutlery’ while millionaire pop star Rita Ora was accused of ‘having the Lidl Plus App’.

She wasn’t the only musician whose supermarket behaviour was called into question. Another read: ‘Jessie J doesn’t donate 10p to charity at the checkout’ while Annie Lennox ‘gets boiled eggs in her meal deal’.

Local lass and Little Mix favourite Jade Thirlwall apparently ‘buys makeup from Poundland’, according to the graffiti.

Other barbs suggested ‘Stacey Soloman gives Joe a sticker for helping with the dishes’ while hardman Danny Dyer ‘Smokes Parma Violet Vapes’, with Jesy Nelson also not escaping – it was claimed she now lives above a Cash Converters.

One local told the Mirror that they found the strange outbursts hilarious but hopes the joke doesn’t get old by the ‘artist’ turning their attention away from the underpass or by overstepping the mark.

“It’s been fun seeing which celeb would be next, I bet they’re all hoping it’s not them!” resident Michael Darby, who lives in nearby Blaydon, said. “We want to know who’s behind it.

“You almost feel sorry for some of them. Bar one or two, there’s nothing too offensive in there. If it gets too rude or the graffiti starts moving around the town and into other areas then opinion might change.

“I’ve not actually seen it myself yet but it’s been fun on local facebook groups. There are some really good ones. ‘Vernon Kay listens to Steps in the bath’ is something he will never live down!”

Now internet sleuths are hunting for clues as the debate rages on social media.

On the Newcastle Uncovered facebook group, the administrator put forward: “There’s absolutely no way anyone in west Denton has done this, 100% some snivelling nerdy student called Tarquin at Newcastle Uni thinking he’s clever.”

As people try to find out more, someone was quick to pick up on dialect, saying the “The ‘Alesha Dixon made bairns cry at the Hoppings’ one means it’s not a visitor”.
