Twisha Sharma’s Brother Recalls Her Last Call 15 Mins Before Death, ‘Crying..Hung Up When Samarth..’

The untimely passing of model and actress, Twisha Sharma has generated immense buzz. The 33-year-old Noida-based woman was found deceased on May 12, 2026, in her marital home in Bhopal. The reason for her death was reported as suicide, but was contested by the bereaved family. They alleged that severe dowry harassment, physical and mental torment by Twisha’s husband, Samarth Singh and her mother-in-law, Giribala Singh pushed her to take the extreme step. Amid that, Twisha’s brother, Major Harshit Sharma shared poignant details of her last phone call with family.

Twisha Sharma’s brother said she was sobbing during her last chat with their mother

Major Harshit Sharma recalled Twisha Sharma‘s last phone call before her demise. During a chat on Barkha Dutt’s Mojo Story, he revealed that his sister called their mother at 10:05, and 15 minutes later, her in-laws broke the news of her passing to them. During the phone conversation, Twisha was crying and in a bad mood, according to her mother. Her brother said that she abruptly disconnected the line when her husband, Samarth Singh, entered the room, and the sound of someone shouting in the background could be heard.

The person was yelling at Twisha, asking what was going on, and, in that heated moment, she allegedly cut the call. Harshit said that it was the only information they had regarding Twisha’s final moments of life, as they didn’t see CCTV footage at that time. Harshit further claimed that there were discrepancies regarding the timeline of Twisha’s death, which her in-laws shared with the authorities and media. The reason for saying so was that Twisha’s mother-in-law, Giribala Singh, picked up the bereaved family’s call at 10:15 p.m., saying they were asleep and then in another call 5 minutes later, she allegedly informed them of Twisha’s death. Harshit stated:

“The timeline…10:05 was the last call wherein my sister was already you know crying…thora awaz se pata par raha tha that she’s you know not in a good mood, according to my mother, because I was not on the call. The call was hung up when Samarth had entered the room…we have not seen the CCTV. That is the only piece of information that we have.”

Twisha Sharma’s mother-in-law ‘very casually’ informed her family of her death news

Twisha’s sister-in-law, Rashi Sharma, was also part of the same interview as Major Harshit Sharma, where she shared details about how they learned of Twisha’s demise. According to Rashi, after Twisha’s call was suddenly disconnected, her worried family kept on calling Samarth Singh and Giribala Singh to check up on her. According to Rashi, Giribala received her call after every third attempt. The first time she picked up the call, she allegedly informed them that Twisha Sharma’s pulse was missing and quickly cut the call without further explanation.

The last time Giribala answered Rashi’s call was to inform them that Twisha had passed away. Even at that time, allegedly, she didn’t share the details of the mysterious death with the bereaved family and went unreachable thereafter. Recalling the mental turmoil and devastation they went through from 10.05 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Rashi told Mojo Story:

“In between this time [10:05 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.] we were constantly calling…I was speaking to Mrs. Giribala…Possibly for every three calls made, she would just pick up and very casually answer and the first call you know she answered mine was [when she said], ‘She [Twisha] doesn’t have a pulse, she’s not breathing.’…Then she would just abruptly cut the call without…having answered my questions or query…[In] the last call she said it that she’s [Twisha is] no more and that too very casually.”
