Cricket Commentator and Senior Sports Journalist Harsha Bhogle criticised India’s dismal performance against England in the third T20 match against England which led to a shameful 125 runs defeat, with the tournament title looking out of reach.
The world number one ranked Indian Team was all out for a mere 76 runs while chasing a total of a formidable 201, posed by the World Second Ranked England team.
Harsha took to his X, and gave a one word reaction, and said “Unacceptable.”
In an earlier tweet while Indian innings was going on and wickets were falling down left right and centre, Harsha Bhogle compared the scene with the gale force winds that are causing massive damages in Mumbai. He said “Gale in Mumbai. Wickets blown away in Nottingham.”
The first game of the 5-match series was washed away in rain and the second game was won by England. With the defeat in the third game, England is set to win the series unless team India makes a comeback and wins the remaining two games. Still it would not be enough for India to win the series and keep the top spot in the T20 international rankings.
India’s tour of Great Britain has become a forgettable adventure. Prior to the England series, India’s brief visit to Ireland resulted in a washout, in which Ireland won against India in any format of cricket for the first time in history.
Followers of Indian cricket are pointing towards the team management, and the BCCI selection committee, over the poor results. The heat is so much on against Indian cricket team coach Gautham Gambhir and skipper Shreyas Iyer.
