The makers of Aadarsha Kutumbam have declared the film a blockbuster after it reportedly grossed more than Rs 75 crore worldwide in its first three days. Released in theatres on October 30, the Venkatesh-starrer also features Srinidhi Shetty. “The BLOCKBUSTER family entertainer continues to win hearts and receive phenomenal love from audiences everywhere!” the makers said in a statement.

The Right Pitch Helped

The Trivikram Srinivas directorial was backed by a promotional campaign that was patient and well-judged. The makers introduced the characters one by one, beginning with Venkatesh’s Chitti Babu. A teaser and a well-received trailer followed, while the wordplay in the title, House No: 47 – AK 47, added to the curiosity surrounding the film.

At the pre-release event, Trivikram spoke about his faith in the family system and described Chitti Babu as a simple family man who would go to any extent to protect his loved ones. He felt Venkatesh was the natural choice for the role, given that family-oriented stories have long been one of the actor’s biggest strengths.

Audiences Embrace the Film’s Different Elements

Audiences have also responded positively to the comedy track featuring Satya, one of Telugu cinema’s popular comic performers. Viewers have particularly enjoyed his interrogation scene with Nara Rohith, with his impeccable timing adding to the film’s lighter stretches.

Thaman deserves special mention for his background score, which lends a contemporary touch to the crime sequences and heightens their impact. Srinidhi Shetty plays Venkatesh’s wife, Swarna, while Udaybir Sandhu appears as a notorious dacoit. Rao Ramesh and Sachin Khedekar essay police officers. Blending domestic humour with crime elements, the film keeps its focus on the bonds that hold a family together.

Meanwhile, Venkatesh is awaiting the theatrical release of January 12 Vidudala, which is scheduled to arrive during Sankranthi 2027 and is directed by Anil Ravipudi. Trivikram, on the other hand, is set to direct Jr NTR in a project tentatively titled God of War.
