Victoria Beckham praised her and David Beckham’s four children, five months after son Brooklyn’s bombshell statement confirmed their family fallout

Victoria Beckham has opened up about what matters most to her as a mother, while continuing to remain silent over son Brooklyn Beckham’s bombshell claims. The fashion designer and her husband, David Beckham, share four children; Brooklyn, 27, Romeo, 23, Cruz, 21, and Harper, 14.

Speaking about motherhood, Victoria said she feels “so blessed and lucky” to have experienced being both a boy and girl mum, as she gushed: “The boys are great with her.”

Reflecting on the values she has tried to instil in her children, the former Spice Girl spoke about the importance of leading by example and making sure they feel “fulfilled” in whichever career paths they choose.

Sharing why she had no plans to retire, she continued: “I love being busy and also I think it’s really good that the children see how passionate I am about what I do, they see the work ethic that both myself and David has as well.

“And I think that it’s good that the children see that and I think it’s wonderful for us to see that our children… they have passion, they have work ethic, they are driven, and I think that you have to lead by example when you have children.”

Sharing her thoughts on nepotism, the use of power or influence to secure jobs or advantages for family members, Victoria insisted her children have each followed their own paths through hard work.

Speaking to The Times’ Sarah Jossel on The Beauty Desk series, the 52-year-old said there is “a big difference between supporting and children” and “forcing them” into doing something.

“All we’ve ever done with any of the children is support them, encourage them and help them and individually they’ve all found what they love and what their sense of purpose is,” she added.

“When the three boys used to play football, one by one they decided that that wasn’t for them and that’s okay, there was no pressure whatever makes them happy, you know.”

She added: “So, that’s all you can do, I just want them to feel fulfilled and I love how driven they are all. I always say, ‘Dream big and then dream even bigger’.”

The fashion designer went on to say her “biggest compliment” as a parent is hearing people describe her children as “sweet, kind and polite”.

“They are and that’s really important to myself and David as well because they’re in a very fortunate position, we’re very proud of them,” she added.

Victoria’s podcast appearance comes five months after Brooklyn broke his silence on speculation surrounding his strained relationship with his family.

As part of a lengthy statement, the aspiring chef revealed he did not want to reconcile with his family and made a series of accusations about his parents.

Among the claims, he accused his family of being controlling, alleged they tried to damage his relationship with Nicola Peltz and said Victoria cancelled plans to make his wife’s wedding dress at the last minute. The Beckhams did not respond publicly to the claims.
