HYDERABAD: Additional central provident fund commissioner Vipin Kumar Sharma assumed charge of the Telangana sone of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) on Monday.
Under his leadership, the zonal office will oversee administrative and functional jurisdiction across eight regional offices in the state, ensuring effective service delivery and enforcement of statutory provisions. The zone covers lakhs of subscribers and establishments, making it one of the key regions for implementation of social security schemes.
Sharma joined the EPFO in 1998 as a D.R. Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner and has since served in multiple regional offices including Ahmedabad, Laxminagar, Delhi (North), Naroda, Vadodara, Bandra, Hyderabad, and at the head office in New Delhi. Officials said his wide experience has given him significant expertise in administration, compliance, and implementation of social security schemes.
He is expected to focus on strengthening digital services, improving grievance redressal, and ensuring timely settlement of claims for employees and employers across Telangana.
