Podcaster Vogue Williams made a light-hearted joke about occasions she has found herself in hot water on holidays abroad over her sometimes revealing outfit choices
TV personality Vogue Williams joked she was sometimes been thrown out of supermarkets over her outfit choice.
The mum-of-three, 40, is currently expecting her fourth child with reality TV star Spencer Matthews.
On a recent recording of her podcast Vogue & Amber, which she records with her sister Amber Wilson, talk turned to the stifling heatwave that has been sweeping across much of Europe over the last few weeks.
Vogue began the podcast by saying: “We’re all sweating our tits off. That’s what we’re doing. But you know what? I’m not complaining about the weather. I’m thrilled. I’m thrilled to be this close to death.”
The UK recorded its hottest ever June since records began last month with a high temperature of 37.7C.
It was also pretty warm over in Ireland and Amber, how lives in Howth, a suburb of Dublin, and Vogue’s sister revealed how the locals coped with the sweltering conditions.
She said: “I was coming into Howth there and people complain because they can’t sleep at night. And then I saw when I was coming into Howth, girls just wandering around in their bikinis.”
This then sparked an amusing anecdote about how Vogue sometimes finds herself in hot water over her attire in supermarkets while on holiday abroad.
Amber quipped: “Vogue gets in trouble in Spain for going into the supermarket with her bikini. They have to tell her to leave to go put more clothes on.”
Vogue responded: “Get in trouble. Yeah. You get asked to f***ing leave. Same in St Barts, surely on an island. I should just take the bikinis off and just go in, they wouldn’t say a word.”
Former model Vogue often visit paradise Caribbean island St Barts. Her husband Spencer’s family own the luxurious Eden Rock resort.
They couple visited the lavish destination with their three children Theodore, seven, Gigi, five, and Otto, three.
Vogue recently made a candid confession about her marriage to former Made in Chelsea star Spencer Matthews.
Starring on Celebrity Gogglebox with her pal Joanne McNally, she said: “When I got together with Spencer, I insisted on paying my way and it’s one of my biggest regrets eight years on, paying 50% of everything.”
Joanne fires back with a brutal one-liner, replying: “You tried to make a point and you shot yourself in the feminist foot.”
Laughing, Vogue then admits: “Listen, I didn’t think I would be here eight years later [with him]” – only for Joanne to quip: “I don’t think anyone did!”
Vogue also recently revealed the real reason she’s refused to take Spencer ‘s surname throughout their eight-year marriage.
She explained: “Spenny always wants me to change my name to Matthews, and I’m like, mmm, I just feel like I have a track record, and it’s very difficult to change your name. And then to change everything back.”
Vogue was married to former Westlife singer Brian McFadden from 2012 to 2017. She met Spencer on reality TV show The Jump shortly after her divorce was finalised, though they had separated two years earlier.
