Who Is Luke Gulbranson? Know ‘Summer House’ Star In Minnesota Congress Race Against Pete Stauber

Luke Gulbranson is one of the rare reality TV stars to enter politics. But it does not change the fact that he has grabbed a lot of attention. Luke has been a popular face on Bravo, and now he is to campaign for the race to Congress from Minnesota. He has officially announced, making sitting Republican Congressman Pete Stauber his direct competitor. 

Who is Luke Gulbranson? 

Luke Gulbranson is new to politics. But he is a familiar face in the spotlight. The 42-year-old first became popular by starring in Bravo’s Summer House. On the show, Luke was known for a laid-back personality and his outdoor lifestyle. He was also seen in Winter House and later on Netflix’s Selling the OC. Apart from Television and OTT, Luke has also ventured into modeling and Business. Some reports suggest that he has worked in Luxury real estate and started multiple ventures, including a maple syrup brand and a clothing line. 

Due to his work commitments, Luke spends his time in either Los Angeles or LA. However, Minnesota, his hometown, continues to hold a special place in his life. Despite his glam life in the entertainment industry now, Luke had a simple upbringing. He was born in a small town in Minnesota’s Iron Range. He often shared on his shows how his family faced financial struggles during his childhood. In fact, in his new campaign video, Luke shared how his family used to depend on assistance programs. In his words:

“I know what it’s like to get the power turned off… to need food assistance.”

Luke has not only positioned himself as someone who understands the hardships of working-class residents but has also highlighted his work during the pandemic. For those unaware, the reality star had served as a Youth hockey coach, and he recently returned to Minnesota during the pandemic, where he built a home in the woods. It is another aspect that reflects his grounded, local life.

Luke Gulbranson’s race to Congress 

Luke Gulbranson is running for Congress as a democratic candidate. It has officially made Republican Congressman Pete Stauber his biggest competition. According to his campaign theme, he intends to focus on reducing daily costs, protecting union jobs, and improving healthcare for common people. In contrast to his reality TV history, he is portraying himself as a political outsider. Interestingly, his candidacy comes at a time when Minnesota’s 8th district has become a different seat for Democrats, making his campaign more difficult. 

Luke Gulbranson’s private life 

On the personal front, Gulbranson’s personal life has also come into attention. At present, he is neither married nor in any confirmed relationship. But previously, his most famous romance was with Tayshia Adams. They dated for two years before parting ways in 2025. Before Tayshia, he was linked to Ashley Darby and other co-stars, including Ciara Miller and Hannah Berner, during his time on reality TV. Luke allegedly also went on a blind date with Polly Brindle. However, after announcing his candidacy for Congress, Luke has kept his private life out of politics.
