Yogandhra 2026 To Be Organised Across Andhra Pradesh From June 7

Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh government will organise Yogandhra 2026 across the state from June 7. The yoga activities will peak at a large-scale programme scheduled to be held on the International Yoga Day on June 21.
Reviewing preparations with ministers and senior officials in Amaravati on Saturday, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu directed officials to make the programme a major state-wide initiative and ensure participation from all sections of society.
According to the action plan presented at the meeting, Yogandhra activities will be conducted for 14 days across the state. The main event will be held in Amaravati with the participation of around 25,000 people on the International Yoga Day on June 21. The Chief Minister is expected to attend the programme, proposed to be organised on the Krishna River Bridge constructed as part of the West Bypass Road project.
District-level yoga events involving around 1,000 participants each will be organised at the district headquarters with ministers and senior officials taking part in them.
The government has set a target of involving one crore people in the yoga campaign. To support the initiative, additional one lakh yoga trainers will be trained, supplementing the existing pool of 1.5 lakh trainers.
Under the “One District, One Theme” concept, each district will conduct specialised yoga programmes during the campaign period. The government has allocated ₹25 lakh to each district for organising Yogandhra activities.
Departments of health, human resource development, municipal administration, panchayat raj, endowments and information technology will coordinate with each other in implementing the Yogandhra 2026 programme across the state.
Special yoga sessions will be organised at 56 tourist locations across the state, with two venues identified in each district. Yoga programmes will also be conducted in parks, educational institutions, government offices, and local administrative centres during the fortnight.

To encourage participation, awards will be presented at village, mandal, constituency, district and state levels to the participants. During the meeting, the Chief Minister unveiled the Yogandhra-2026 poster prepared under the guidance of state yoga and naturopathy adviser Manthena Satyanarayana Raju. Those who attended the meeting included ministers P. Narayana, Satya Kumar Yadav, Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, and Kandula Durgesh, chief secretary G. Sai Prasad and senior officials.
