NELLORE: YSRC Nellore City in-charge and MLC Parvatha Reddy Chandrasekhar Reddy visited the residence of party minority leader Abdul Mastan in Division 42 of Kotamitta and consoled his family members following reports of his arrest by the police.

Accompanied by minority leaders, Chandrasekhar Reddy also visited Nellore I Town police station and sought details about Mastan’s whereabouts. Police reportedly assured him that the details would be disclosed soon and asked the family not to panic.

Chandrasekhar Reddy alleged that the ruling party was targeting minorities and obstructing YSRC candidates from filing nominations in the local body elections. He demanded that officials ensure free and fair polls, claiming that candidates were being intimidated and pressured to withdraw their nominations.

He assured Mastan’s family that the YSRC would stand by them and fight for his release. He also urged the authorities to disclose Mastan’s whereabouts and ensure that democratic principles were upheld during the elections.
