Vijayawada: The YSRC has sought greater transparency in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and requested that recognised political parties be provided with voter data and details of Booth Level Officers (BLOs) in a searchable digital format.
YSRC general secretary and MLC Lella Appi Reddy, in a letter addressed to the Chief Electoral Officer on Thursday, urged that constituency-wise and booth-wise voter lists be shared in digital format. He also sought complete details of BLOs, including names, polling stations or part numbers, designations and contact information.
He said access to such information would improve transparency, coordination and accountability in the electoral process, particularly during voter list revision, including claims, objections, additions, deletions and migration verification.
Referring to alleged issues such as voter deletions, duplicate entries and transfers, he sought clarity on the procedures and safeguards being followed during the revision process.
He requested the CEO to provide the relevant digital voter data and BLO details across all Assembly constituencies in the state.
