وجرى خلال اللقاء بحث سبل تعزيز التعاون الفني والتقني، وتطبيق أعلى المعايير الدولية للسلامة والأمن النوويين، ومناقشة الموضوعات ذات الاهتمام المشترك، ومستجدات البرنامج الوطني للطاقة الذرية، وما حُقق من تقدم بالتعاون مع الوكالة.
ويأتي اللقاء في إطار تعزيز التعاون المستمر بين المملكة والوكالة، الذي يتضمن عدة مجالات من أبرزها تبادل الخبرات ودعم القدرات الوطنية في مجال الطاقة النووية والإشعاعية لتطوير البنية التحتية النووية، بما يحقق توجهات هذا القطاع في تنويع مزيج الطاقة وفق مستهدفات رؤية السعودية 2030.
