Madhuri Dixit Nene is returning to television, but this time, she is taking on a role that audiences haven’t quite seen her in before. The Bollywood star has been associated with television for years, particularly through dance reality shows, but she is now set to step into the host’s seat for Kon Honar Crorepati, the Marathi adaptation of the popular quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati.
Sharing the announcement video, Madhuri wrote, “Stepping into a very special new chapter as the host of ‘Kon Honar Crorepati’
I’m excited to take on this journey and bring you a game show that has always been about knowledge, dreams and possibilities. Here’s to a new beginning, a new energy, and a game that’s about to change.
Coming soon on @sonymarathi & @sonylivindia

The move marks a return to hosting for Madhuri after more than two decades. She previously hosted the television show Kahin Na Kahin Koi Hai in 2002. Since then, she has become a familiar face on television through dance reality shows, including Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and Dance Deewane, where she appeared as a judge.

However, Kon Honar Crorepati presents a different kind of television role for the actor. Rather than judging performances, Madhuri will be interacting with contestants, asking questions and taking them through a quiz format centred around knowledge, aspirations and the possibility of winning a life-changing prize.
The Marathi version of the show has previously been hosted by several prominent names from the Marathi entertainment industry such as Sachin Khedekar, Swapnil Joshi and filmmaker Nagraj Manjule.
