Next week, Si Woo Kim will play in his fourth Presidents Cup and, this time, will be counted on as one of the horses for an International Team hoping to upset the heavily favored Americans at Medinah.
Kim has a 6-5 record in his three previous Presidents Cup appearances, but is playing arguably the best golf of his career after posting 11 top-10 finishes in 2026. But while the International team will be counting on Si Woo Kim to rack up points for them in Chicago, Kim also plays a vital role in the team room.
Christiaan Bezuidenhout shared a team room with Kim in 2022 and 2024. The South African will also be at Medinah next week, and he joined the latest episode of GOLF’s Subpar podcast to discuss his teammates and the Presidents Cup.
“He’s a beaut man. Everyone on the team loves Si Woo. We call him Woo on the team,” Bezuidenhout told co-hosts Colt Knost and Drew Stoltz. “He’s a great guy. He’s funny. He told us a story. When he won the Players, on Sunday on the back nine, he took two Advil PM and a Red Bull — on the back nine of the Players while in the lead. We have to always make sure we have Red Bull in our team cabin, in the bus, in the hotel. He loves a Red Bull. He’s one of a kind.”
