CM Revanth Asks Govt Whips to Bring Public Issues to his Notice

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy described government Whips as the “eyes and ears” of the government, as they play a key role in identifying and resolving public issues at the grassroots level. To strengthen coordination and stay directly informed about public issues, the Chief Minister announced that he would be available to meet government whips once every week.

He was speaking at a meeting at the MCRHRD Institute on Saturday, attended by Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council Whips, who briefed the Chief Minister on various issues faced by people across constituencies. They highlighted concerns related to drinking water and irrigation needs in view of the ongoing summer, as well as the progress of paddy procurement.

Responding to the inputs, the Chief Minister directed officials to expedite the paddy procurement process and take measures to address related issues. He instructed the Whips to remain actively engaged with the public and ensure that their problems are resolved without delay. He also asked them to alert local district administrations to act swiftly on grievances.

Revanth Reddy stressed the importance of taking government welfare schemes effectively to the grassroots and building confidence among people that their problems would be addressed promptly. He also advised the whips to make use of media platforms to create awareness about government initiatives.

Among those present at the meeting were MP Vem Narender Reddy, Legislative Council Chief Whip Patnam Mahender Reddy, and Whips Adi Srinivas, Beerla Ilaiah, Yennam Srinivas Reddy, Vijayaramana Rao, Ramachandra Naik, Vemula Veeresham, Addanki Dayakar and Balmuri Venkat.
