Dianna Russini’s Agency Had Hard Time Finding PR Firm To Take On Mike Vrabel Scandal, ‘Don’t Work..’

The Dianna Russini and Mike Vrabel saga might not be coming to an end anytime soon, especially with both the public and media keeping a constant eye on their every move. The duo started facing intense backlash when Page Six released several photos of them engaging in PDA despite being married to different people, at a luxury resort in Sedona, Arizona. 

While their hand-holding and hugging pictures had already left the world shell-shocked, the publication released even more snaps a few days later, where Dianna and Mike appear to be kissing. It is clear as day that the damage control effort surrounding the former The Athletic reporter and the New England Patriots’ head coach has been a complete failure. Now, amid the ongoing controversy, new reports suggest that Dianna’s agency had difficulty finding a PR firm willing to represent her.

According to reports, CAA (Creative Artists Agency), a high-profile celebrity agency that represents Dianna Russini, began contacting several crisis communications firms to handle the former ESPN reporter’s scandal. If these reports are believed to be true, CAA began contacting the firms just a few hours after Dianna’s photos with Mike Vrabel from the Sedona resort emerged. However, sources have allegedly told a San Francisco 49ers content creator that the response they received was “tepid.” Apparently, several firms have passed on the opportunity. Not only that, when a PR firm finally decided to take on the work, engaging with the scandal, they reportedly advised, “lay low and don’t work for a year.” 

As you might know, the damage control on Dianna’s end has been less than ideal, if not outright haphazard. Reports suggest that before the pictures of her alleged affair with Mike from Arizona were even released, she had already coordinated statements with the Patriots’ head coach. Their plan seemed to be to downplay the situation, which is clear by the fact that Dianna claimed a group of six people had been present at the resort and that she was not alone with Mike. Meanwhile, Mike said that the very implication of anything untoward and inappropriate happening between the duo was “laughable.” 

For those who do not know, Dianna’s former employer, The Athletic, had previously backed her publicly, but before long, they reversed their decision. Sometime after they opened an investigation into Dianna’s conduct, she handed in her resignation. Coming to her social media handles, Dianna deleted her X/Twitter account last week. Additionally, she also made her Instagram private after Mike publicly apologised for his actions, and after her pictures with the Patriots’ head coach kissing at a New York City bar in 2020 and hanging out at a casino in Mississippi in 2024 went viral. 

Former NFL linebacker, Emmanuel Acho slammed Dianna Russini for her obsession with Mike Vrabel 

While fans have already been weighing in on the alleged affair between Dianna Russini and Mike Vrabel by taking to social media, many notable figures in sports have been doing the same. Recently, former NFL linebacker, Emmanuel Acho not only spoke about the scandal but also criticised Dianna. In a segment of his show, Speakeasy, Emmanuel revealed whether Mike could face punishment and how Dianna looks in the light of the scandal. Emmanuel said:

“No [he won’t], because crazy enough, Russini just appears to be a crazy person. She has a child named Mike — strike No. 1. She had a playlist that was created, apparently, off of this four-game losing streak that she sent to Mike… Married people cheat… She named a child after [the man she had an alleged affair with].”
