‘From’ Season 4 To Explore The Next Phase Of Town’s Dark Future As New Monsters Haunt The Residents

From is an American science fiction horror television series created by John Griffin. The show first premiered on February 20, 2022, on Epix and is now all set to return for Season 4. So, as we wait for the show to return, let’s take a quick look at what we know about the upcoming season so far.

When will From Season 4 be out?

The highly anticipated fourth season of the acclaimed horror series, From, is all set to premiere on MGM+ and Amazon Prime Video. The show will be released on Sunday, April 19, 2026, and will pick up after a thundering third season that revealed major plot twists, leaving viewers with more questions than ever. According to reports, the mysterious town and its inhabitants faced several shocking developments by the end of Season 3, including the unravelling of a powerful, controlling entity and the deeper connection between some of the town’s residents and its past. The series will continue to explore new themes, with new episodes releasing weekly on Sundays and the series finale on June 28, 2026.

What to expect from From Season 4?

From Season 4 has been making headlines ever since it was renewed for another run. The show became one of the most-loved series in the horror genre and has left fans excited to see what the makers will bring in Season 4. According to reports, the upcoming season will follow the events of Season 3, which left the viewers on the edge of their seats. From revelations about their old town to its people’s link to its enigmatic past. These twists have significantly increased the audience’s intrigue about what will happen next. Well, Season 4 will pick up on some of the most pivotal points from Season 3. 

One of the major twists that left the audience gripping their seats was the death of ‘Jim’. Played by Eion Bailey, ‘Jim’ passed away at the hands of the enigmatic ‘Man in Yellow’ in From Season 3. This event marked a significant shift in the nature of the threat in the town. It indicated that dangers are no longer merely random monsters but are orchestrated by a single, powerful force. The ‘Man in Yellow’ showed as a thin figure in a damaged suit, appearing in daylight, a striking contrast given that the town’s safety traditionally depended on sunlight. He is depicted as a mastermind controlling the nighttime monsters.

However, that is not all; it appears that the ‘Man in Yellow’ also has extensive knowledge of the residents’ actions, confirming his role as the voice on the radio from earlier in the series. Furthermore, his act of killing ‘Jim’ served as a major warning against further investigation into the town’s web of secrets. This proved that the ‘Man in Yellow’ was not only lethal but also unaffected by the usual protections, such as talismans. The events of From Season 3 also suggested a hierarchy of threats within the town, where some individuals are outside the cycle of reincarnation.

From Season 4 will also take us further into the connection between ‘Tabitha’ essayed by Catalina Sandino Moreno and ‘Jade’ played by David Alpay. This will come after the revelation in Season 3 that they are the reincarnations of ‘Miranda’ and ‘Christopher’. Their recurring presence is tied to a cycle of rebirth, aimed at saving the ghost children linked to the town’s dark history. Another arc fans are looking forward to exploring in Season 4 is ‘Julie’s’ future, after she was confirmed to be a ‘Storywalker’ in From Season 3. Played by Hannah Cheramy, the character possesses the ability to traverse different points in the town’s past and future. 

However, ‘Julie’s’ power comes with a strict limitation: she cannot alter events, only observe them. This ability stems from her survival of the music box/cicada event in From Season 2. However, that is not all, in Season 3 of From, we also saw the disturbing revelation involving ‘Fatima’ essayed by Pegah Ghafoori, giving birth to the “Smiley” monster. This confirmed that the creatures in the town cannot be truly eliminated. In Season 4, we will further see how these monsters are part of a controlled system capable of rebirth. ‘Fatima’s’ visions further suggested that the monsters were once human settlers who sacrificed their children for immortality.

From Season 4 will also dive into ‘Boyd Stevens’ arc. The man who was previously a strong leader showed signs of deteriorating mental and physical stability under the town’s relentless pressure. Additionally, his increasing violence and disregard for his moral code, such as torturing ‘Elgin’ (Nathan D. Simmons), highlight the extreme toll the town takes on its inhabitants. This shift in ‘Boyd’s’ character forced other residents, like ‘Kenny’ essayed by Ricky He and ‘Sara’ played by Avery Konrad, to confront choices that are not just morally questionable but extremely difficult to make. The incidents of Season 3 raise questions about whether survival in the town demands a descent into savagery.
