For the past 10 years, this 63-year-old man has been making Kolkata more beautiful, one electric box at a time. 🎨❤️
Meet Mudhar, who has transformed 400 electric boxes covered in posters and looking dull into colourful works of art.
And he has done it all with his own money.
While most people walk past these everyday eyesores, Mudhar sees an opportunity to bring colour, creativity and beauty to the streets of his city.
His work is a reminder that a city isn’t made beautiful by its buildings and roads alone. It’s also shaped by the people who treat it like home and take the initiative to make it better.
Sometimes, changing a city doesn’t require a grand plan. It starts with one person, a little paint and the willingness to care. 🌈
Is there someone in your city making it a better place through small acts of kindness? Tell us in the comments!#thebetterindia
