Met Gala 2026, Rihanna Turned Heads In A Shimmering Sculptural Gown With 115,000 Crystal Beads

The Met Gala 2026 opened with the theme ‘Costume Art’, and celebs not only followed it but also nailed it with their looks. The theme encouraged attendees to dress up in attire that emphasises structure, sculpture, and artistic expression. As many celebs followed the theme, singer Rihanna outdid everyone’s expectations.

Rihanna donned a shimmering sculptural gown at The Met Gala 2026

Rihanna graced the red carpet of The Met Gala 2026 with her beau, ASAP Rocky. The superstar arrived at the red carpet in a custom silver gown by Margiela Couture by Glenn Martens. The shimmery gown was made of duchess-woven silk and featured recycled metal threads.

The bodice featured 115,000 crystal beads and chains. She complemented her look with bejewelled makeup with crystals. Her unique hairstyle too was unmissable. On the other hand, A$AP Rocky donned a custom Chanel by Matthieu Blazy. He looked handsome in a pink wool robe with black satin lapels, embellished with black silk and feathers. He paired it with black trousers and a white cotton shirt.

In 2018, Ri-Ri outdid herself at the Met Gala, dressed as the Pope by John Galliano for Margiela. She wore a grey mini dress along with a matching cape. She topped off her look with a headpiece fashioned as the bishop’s hat. Her look channelled the grandeur of Catholic vestments.

The global star made a dazzling appearance at the 2025 Met Gala, where she announced her third pregnancy and wore an avant-garde suit for the theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style”. For the iconic red-carpet event, the global star opted for Marc Jacobs’ ensemble featuring a grey bustier, a black floor-length skirt, and a cropped black jacket. She completed her look with an oversized, wide-brimmed black hat and a polka-dot necktie.

Previously, ASAP Rocky sat for an interview with Elle, in which he was asked if he wished to be a husband in the near future. While he didn’t confirm it, he questioned the interviewer about how he/she would know if he had already become a husband. ASAP Rocky further mentioned that he would not confirm whether he had already become a husband or not. Such a comment led people to wonder if ASAP Rocky and Rihanna had secretly tied the knot. ASAP Rocky said:

“How you know I’m not already a husband? … I’m still not gonna confirm it.”
