The Florida State Seminoles had an awful game on Saturday as they dropped to 1-2 on the season after losing to the Alabama Crimson Tide. With that said, a couple of their former players did have good games in Week 2 of the NFL.
Keon Coleman
He was basically nonexistent in the Buffalo Bills win to kickoff the season against the Houston Texans with one catch for a single yard, but Coleman was much better against the Detroit Lions last Thursday. He didn’t score, but Coleman racked up six receptions for 63 yards, which included four catches that resulted in first downs.

Coleman produced 556 yards as a rookie and 404 yards last season, and he scored four touchdowns in each. He’s looking for a breakout year, and this might be the performance that sparks it.
Derwin James
James ended up fracturing the pinky finger on his left hand on Sunday, and he’ll wear a cast for the rest of the season. Despite this, James played a good game against the Las Vegas Raiders, although the Los Angeles Chargers lost. James ended up with seven tackles, which was tied for the team lead.
He’s coming off back-to-back Second-Team All-Pro/Pro Bowl campaigns for the Chargers. Early indications are that James will be in contention for both honors again in 2026 as he continues to be one of the league’s top safeties.
