If you thought the coquette aesthetic was on its way out, well, think again! Sabrina Carpenter—who is no stranger to a retro, flirty, cheeky bombshell persona—said the bow isn’t going anywhere, thank you very much.

Celebs were all about the bow a few years ago, with stars like Cardi B and Zendaya adding bows to their various hairstyles. The hair accessory is a bona fide classic, but it ebbs and flows in popularity, and we were certain it was time for a bow break once more. But not so fast! At the Dior Cruise show at LACMA in Los Angeles, Carpenter added the sweetest white lace bow to her hairstyle and made us reconsider our stance.

Carpenter, who selected a springy butter yellow sheer dress embellished with oversized flowers for the runway presentation, mimicked the white petals of said flowers with her lace hair bow, whose lengths trailed down the exact length of her hair, ending at her perfectly curled ends. Instead of her now-signature full, bouncy blowout, she wore her blonde hair pinned halfway up and fastened with said bow for a classic, romantic upstyle that let the dress take center stage but was still a statement in itself. (And that statement? Put a bow on it!)

The “Manchild” singer isn’t the only one who has embraced the bow this week. Her friend (and duet partner!) Taylor Swift also had a bow-ment of her own while out for dinner in New York City; Swift wore her hair in a ponytail tied with a flowing, waist-length black ribbon. Bows are so sweet and adorable that they really sing in the springtime, which is the most coquettish season of all if you really think about it. So why not add a little ribbon romance to your next ponytail or half-updo? Bonus points for pastels.
