Hyderabad: The Irrigation department on Monday released water from Sri Ram Sagar Project (SRSP) into Kakatiya main canal, upstream of Lower Manair Dam (LMD) facilitating devotees to immerse Ganesh idols.
The water flow will be gradually increased during the day and is expected to reach 3,000 cusecs by evening, according to officials. The water was released to facilitate the Ganesh immersion arrangements by the district administration.
Following instructions, as many as 1000 cusecs of water is released from SRSP to Kakatiya main canaland will be gradually increased to 3000 cusecs, according to officials.
