People were floored when a woman got up and started to dance during a spot of retail therapy in their local shopping centre. But they were even more gobsmacked when realising the woman was actually a very well-known household name they would have seen on TV years ago.
Shaking her chest and holding back for nobody, the woman was really getting into the Toxic by Britney Spears remix that was playing through the speakers, and encouraging other members of the crowd gathering to dance alongside her.
What also threw many people off the scent was that she was wearing a Bodycare uniform, complete with a bright orange polo shirt.
But people soon realised who she was as they looked a little closer, and were absolutely gobsmacked.
Who was the celebrity throwing shapes in the shopping centre?
It was none other than Montanna Thompson, who is most famous for playing Justine Littlewood in The Story of Tracy Beaker, which first aired in 2002.
Now 37, she was proving she’s still an “icon” as she danced with no cares in the world to celebrate the opening of a new Bodycare store in Birmingham’s Merry Hill shopping centre.
Someone said she needs to be “put in the next Celebrity Big Brother” because she’d make for fantastic TV. Who wouldn’t want to see a Dani Harmer (aka Tracy Beaker herself) x Montanna Thompson mash-up in there, though?!
People said she is a “lovely” person, and “comes across so well” in any interviews they’ve watched of her, unlike her on-screen persona when she was a child.
Someone penned: “She is such a sweetie. We did love her before, but even more so now we meet her inna di flesh. Love love love!”
“She’s exactly who I thought she would grow up to be,” another added.
What is Montanna Thompson up to these days?
She reprised her role as Justine in Tracy Beaker Returns, My Mum Tracy Beaker and The Beaker Girls since first appearing in The Story of Tracy Beaker.
Montanna and Dani have also appeared on social media together, lip-syncing to original Tracy Beaker content, which left fans in a tizz.
Someone left a comment which read: “Omg lol this is so cute! Mad we’re all grown now lol feels like yesterday getting home watching you two lol.”
Motanna has also been busy mum to a son named Coby, who she gave birth to in 2017.
In interviews, she shared that both she and her son have Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), a rare, hereditary skin condition which causes fragile skin to blister and tear easily.
